THERE IS A HUNGER THE WORLD HAS FOR DEEPER CONNECTION.
Connecting to your true-self. Finding the authenticity of your true self and honoring yourself is our connection. It means finding the answers within, rather than searching for them outside of yourself. Its forgive yourself, love yourself, listen to your body and do what you love. Discovering a sense of purpose and connection is vital to achieving health and creating a lasting sense of wellbeing in every area of your life. Whether through communing with life-long friends, volunteering at your favorite food shelter, or attending a weekly religious service, connecting to the people and activities that bring you a sense of meaning gives you a reason to get up every morning. This sense of connectedness is ALL ABOUT creating a community of like-minded individuals, all seeking to optimize their health and infuse their lives with purpose! What is SOUL CARE: Soul care is deep work and a critical piece of living a life you love. We are all here on earth for a reason yet sometimes, through daily life, family-conditioning, and parenting, we lose sight of who we are. Soul care is all about caring for that unique piece of you so that you feel ALIVE and know that your life here on earth matters (it does). Ask yourself the following: How do you know if you are taking care of your soul? How do you feel most days? Strung out? Resentful? Bitter? Then you are not taking care of your soul. How do you learn how to take care of your soul? Put on your thinking hat and start learning about yourself. What do like to do? When do you feel most alive and energized? What are you doing when do you lose track of time? Do more of that (and not just after everyone goes to bed) and you will be on the path to taking better care of this pillar. The four universal questions of life are:
My job, as an Integrative Health Coach, is to help you hit the soul care “reset” button. Everything you have done up until today, this minute, has made you who you are. Your experiences matter. We will build off of what delights you every day, no matter how small or seemingly trivial. We will pair things down and flesh them out. You will wake each morning ready to greet the day and LIVE YOUR BEST LIFE. |

I am a firm believer that the human spirit is ignited by the pursuit of our dreams. Imagine the possibilities. Get curious about how your life could improve. Learn about interconnectedness – how one aspect of life affects another aspect of life… Think about it. The nutrition pillar: the food you eat every day affects your health which affects your energy which affects your confidence which affects your relationships which affects your passions which affects your financial abundance – everything is connected!
Each of the health pillars are crucial to our overall state of wellbeing. If we neglect even one pillar for too long, we will suffer. Our suffering shows up as weight gain, general malaise, or aches and pains. If we neglect two pillars, our physical or mental health suffers. When we neglect three, your body will reward you by showing you it, is in dis-ease.
Your Relationship with Yourself Affects Everything in Your Life.

Your Relationship with Yourself Affects Everything in Your Life.
- Belonging. When we are understood, recognized, and affirmed by friends, family members, partners, colleagues, and even strangers, we feel we belong to a community. Many people count their relationships as the most meaningful part of their lives, even when those relationships are difficult or strained.
- Purpose. When we have long-term goals in life that reflect our values and serve the greater good, we tend to imbue our activities with more meaning. Professions focused on helping others; teachers, surgeons, clergy, coaches, and therapists, all tend to rate their jobs as more meaningful, and that people who imbue their work with purpose are more dedicated to their jobs.
- Transcendence. Experiences that fill us with awe or wonder—ones in which “we feel we have risen above the everyday world to experience a higher reality,” can decrease our self-focus and lead us to engage in more generous, helpful behavior. It may seem counterintuitive in some ways; but the surrender of our own self-importance can induce a sense of meaning. Or, if you feel stuck, you may want to spend time creating a life narrative, an understanding of what experiences shaped you into the person you are now with a redemptive storyline, perhaps through expressive writing practice or through working with a therapist. Or, you may want to find ways to experience more awe in your life, spending time in nature, staring at the stars, experiencing profound works of art, or pondering heroic figures.

To discover clues to your own life’s purpose, ask yourself these questions: What makes my heart sing? When in my life do, I feel a sense of wonder? In what ways do I feel called to be of service to others? When do I feel closest to the God, Universe, etc.? Closest to living our soul’s purpose when we feel joyful, when we are in awe of the wonder of life around us, when we are being of service to others, and when we are deeply aware of our connection to our own spirituality.
When we talk about spirituality as part of our being. It refers to the way individuals seek and express meaning and purpose and the way they experience their connectedness to the moment, to self, to others, to nature, and to the significant or sacred.
So, then spiritual wellness involves seeking and having a meaning and purpose in life, as well as participating in activities that are consistent with one’s beliefs and values. It is more than prayer and believing in a higher being. A spiritually well person seeks harmony with the universe, expresses compassion towards others, and practices gratitude and self-reflection. When we integrate practices of spiritual wellness, we are able to connect in mind, body, and soul.
Life is a voyage of self-discovery. To me, to be enlightened is to go within and to know who and what we really are, and to know that we have the ability to change for the better by loving and taking care of ourselves.

My personal motto is, “This is the only body, my temple I have, and I am going to treat it with love.” This approach sets in motion a whole cascade of positive results, tend to eat better, exercise more regularly, learn to manage stress more effectively, and take better care of myself overall. I realize from my own experience that shifting attitudes and behaviors is not easy; it may mean challenging and changing some of our core and limiting beliefs that we have maintained over decades. Research shows that attitude change is often necessary before making any behavior changes that last. That is why this could be considered the primary health pillar, the place to start.
Visualize the whole body, or a specific part, in its healed state to help in the healing process. This requires that we calm our mind and emotions first so that healing imagery can take effect.
Simply stated, illness is dis-ease, or lack of ease with self and life. Illness is also resistance to change, while healing represents growth and awareness, learning and evolution. When resistances get out of the way, energy flows and we begin to heal, which is to come into a new balance. As I often tell my clients – “Get out of the way and healing will happen.”

- Stop Blaming Yourself
Every decision you have or have not made has led you exactly where you are. Though we may have been victims in the past, and we did not get to choose our circumstances as kids, as adults we are responsible for our own emotions and circumstances. When we choose to no longer hold a victim mindset, we are empowered to take the reins of our own life and make choices in line with our highest path. - Focus on the Now
When we put our energy into thoughts of past regrets or future fears, we often suffer anxiety or depression. When we shift our thoughts to the present moment, we tune into the gifts and blessings that are happening right now. Yoga and meditation are great tools for practicing presence. The more we remain present with each moment as it comes, the less fear and anxiety we experience. - Connect to Nature
Nature heals. It is that simple. Go outside. Put your bare feet on the earth. Dig your hands in the dirt. Climb and or hug a tree. Look at the star-filled sky. Learn from the reliability and consistency of nature. The sun always rises and sets each day. The seasons change without fail. These truths remind us of the divine timing of everything, and we too are a part of this universal tapestry. - Live with Purpose
Engage in work that lights you up. That makes your heart sing. You may already have a career that is driven by passion and purpose. Or perhaps you have hobby that fills you up. It could be drawing, or playing music like drumming, teaching, or coaching others. Say yes to things that bring you joy and a sense of purpose. Say no to things that drain your spirit. - Establish a Daily Gratitude Practice
Gratitude is a daily choice. We can focus on what is missing or we can choose to focus on the blessings right before us. Put pen to paper. Focus your energy on what you are grateful and shift from a mindset of lack to one of abundance.
